1. Introduction
Welcome to Sun Escape Apartments. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your booking, stay, and use of our facilities in Peyia, Cyprus. By confirming your booking or entering the property, you agree to abide by these Terms. Please read carefully and contact us if you have any questions before or during your stay.
2. Booking and Payment
- All bookings must be made via our website or authorised booking platforms.
- Bookings are confirmed only once payment (full or deposit) is received.
- Prices are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Payment methods accepted will be clearly communicated during booking.
- Any special requests (e.g., extra bedding, late check-in) must be made before arrival and cannot be guaranteed.
- We reserve the right to cancel bookings if payment is not received or if false information is provided.
3. Check-In and Access to Property
- Check-in time is from 3:00 PM onwards unless otherwise agreed.
- Access is via a secure lockbox on the door; your personal lockbox code will be sent 48 hours before arrival.
- You can check in at any time after your scheduled arrival without meeting staff in person.
- Should you have difficulty accessing the apartment, please ring the video doorbell for assistance.
- Guests must not share the lockbox code or keys with others outside their party.
4. Keys and Security
- Keys are digitally linked and must be returned to the lockbox at checkout.
- Lost keys incur a €40 replacement fee; please report loss immediately.
- Guests are responsible for locking the property securely when leaving.
5. Use of Facilities and Appliances
5.1 Coffee Machine
- The coffee machine is compatible only with Nespresso-style pods.
- Guests should fill the water tank and insert a pod before use.
- Follow the instructions carefully to avoid damage.
5.2 Hot Water System
- Hot water is heated via solar panels on most days.
- The electric heating element may be used only when necessary (cloudy days) and must be switched off immediately after use.
- Two switches are located near the bathroom: one for water pressure (may stay on), one for hot water heater (use only if needed).
5.3 Air Conditioning
- Operated via a wall-mounted timer only (30 min, 1 hr, 2 hr settings).
- The remote adjusts temperature and airflow but cannot turn the system on or off.
5.4 Internet and TV
- Free broadband is provided; network details are displayed near the entrance.
- TV apps require guests to log in with personal accounts and log out before checkout.
- We are not responsible for lost passwords or account access.
5.5 Amazon Alexa
- Alexa is available for voice commands such as playing music or radio.
- Please do not attempt to reconfigure or register personal accounts on the device.
6. Bedding and Linen
- Extra pillows and bedding are stored in the wardrobe.
- Sheets and covers for the sofabed are provided if used.
- Bedding should be left in the property at checkout.
7. Water Use and Waste Disposal
7.1 Drinking Water
- Tap water is safe for washing but not recommended for drinking.
- Bottled water is provided on arrival.
7.2 Sewage System
- The local sewage system is sensitive; do not flush toilet paper, wipes, nappies, or sanitary products.
- Use bins provided for disposal.
- Guests will be charged for any repairs resulting from improper waste disposal.
8. Guest Responsibilities
- Guests must respect the property, neighbours, and community rules.
- No smoking is allowed inside the property.
- Pets are not permitted unless explicitly agreed in writing.
- Only registered guests may stay overnight.
- Parties, events, or excessive noise are strictly prohibited.
9. Liability and Safety
- Guests use facilities at their own risk.
- We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.
- We are not responsible for interruptions to utilities caused by external providers.
- Guests must report damage or safety hazards immediately.
- Emergency contact details will be provided.
10. Pool and Shared Areas
- Use of pools and shared areas is at your own risk.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Follow all posted safety and hygiene rules.
- No glass containers in pool areas.
11. Check-Out
- Check-out time is by 11:00 AM unless otherwise arranged.
- Keys must be returned to the lockbox and locked securely.
- Guests must remove all personal belongings and rubbish.
- Personal TV app accounts must be logged out.
- Failure to comply may result in additional charges.
12. Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation policies vary by booking platform and rate type.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to these policies.
- We reserve the right to cancel bookings for safety or maintenance reasons, offering a full refund or alternative accommodation.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
- We collect personal data for booking and communication purposes only.
- Data is handled in accordance with GDPR regulations.
- We do not share your information with third parties except where necessary for your booking.
